HabitatGranitic, with reddish-tan hue. Collections also on E facing rocky slope and adjacent flat. Associates: Ambrosia dumosa, Fouquieria splendens, Simmondsia chinensis, Ferocactus cylindraceus, Cylindropuntia bigelovii, Cylindropuntia sp. Note that the invasive pest in region, Brassica tournefortii, absent here.
