|Habitat||sandy flats and west-facing rock basalt hillside.Associated species: Acacia greggii, Ambrosia eriocentra, Castilleja angustifolia, Cylindropuntia acanthocarpa, Echinocerus engelmannii, Ephedra torreyana, Ericameria cooperi, E. linearifolia, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Erioneuron pulchellum, Escobaria vivipara, Grusonia parishii, Gutierrezia microcephala, Mymenoclea salsola, Karmeria erecta, Lycium andersonii, L. cooperi, mirabilis bigelovii, Muhlenbergia porteri, Opuntia basilaris, O. erinacea, Pleuraphis rigida, Prunus fasciculata, Rumex hymenosepalus, Salazaria mexicana, Salvia dorrii, Yucca brevifolia and Y. schidigera.|
