HabitatAn open silty valley floor with sand dunes and a number of large depressions in full bloom with summer annuals having caught a great deal of summer rain. With Castela emoryi, Prosopis glandulosa, Acacia greggii, Tamarisk, Portulaca oleracea, Datura discolor, Nicotiana obtusifolia, Kallstroemia californica, Allionia incarnata, Ditaxis neomexicana, Amaranthus albus, Aristida adscensionis, Bouteloua barbata, Chamaesyce micromeria, Pectis papposa.
