HabitatIn rocky soil along the edge of a wash where Chrysothamnus paniculatus was dominant. Associates: Allionia incarnata, Amaranthus fimbriatus, Ambrosia dumosa, A. salsola, Boerhavia wrightii, Chamaesyce albomarginata, C. microcera, C. setiloba, Chrysothamnus paniculatus, Cucurbita palmata, Encelia virginensis, Larrea tridentata, Mirabilis laevis, Pectis papposa, and Viguiera parishii.
