Locality Black Lava Butte: towards the northern section of butte, approximately 2.6 air miles north of the junction of Roadrunner Rut road and Pipes road, and approximately 0.5 air mile south of Hondo Wash.

HabitatFairly steep slopes on side of volcanic butte with granitic outcroppings with Yucca brevifolia, Yucca schidigera, Larrea tridentata, Krameria grayi, Artemisia, Ericameria cuneata var. spathulata, Gutierrezia microcephala, Ambrosia dumosa, Echinocactus polycephalus, Echinocereus engelmanii, Dudleya saxosa ssp. aloides, and a diversity of fall blooming annuals.
