Locality From the Aspen Grove in Fish Creek near 34.14462N, 116.78902W, traveled down canyon to the mouth of a north flowing creek coming from the Wilderness, north of Grinnell Mountain, near 34.14994N, 116.80429W., Climbed this tributary to the first fork, the east branch, near 34.14408N, 116.80386W.

Notes<coords cont.: NW1/4 and NE1/4, S20 SW1/4 >; Along tributary, just above the forks. Open area, new growth coming back, and a lot of trunks and branches to maneuver under or over, in this steep, deep canyon that gets hit by avalanches. Associated plant species include: Pinus jeffreyi, Abies concolor, Calocedrus decurrens, Quercus kelloggii, Populus trichocarpa, Salix lasiolepis, S. lutea, S. scouleriana, Alnus rhombifolia, Prunus emarginata, Ribes nevadense, R. cereum, Equisetum hyemale affine, E. laevigatum, E. arvense, Mimulus cardinalis, Athyrium filix-femina cyclosorum, Castilleja miniata, Heracleum lanatum, Stachys albens, Aquilegia formosa, Sencio triangularis, Platanthera leucostachys, Agrostis exarata, Carex subfusca, C. occidentalis, Chamerion angustifolium, and Lupinus latifolius parishii. Growing along creek side, and narrow bench above.;
