HabitatAlong a rocky ridgeline with an overstory of Juniperus occidentalis ssp. australis, Pinus contorta ssp. murrayana, and Cercocarpus ledifolius and also associated with Arctostaphylos patula, Chrysothamnus nauseosus, Salvia pachyphylla, Tetradymia canescens, Eriogonum wrightii var. subscaposum, Arabis parishii, Castilleja cinerea, Eriogonum kennedyi var. alpigenum, and Eriogonum kennedyi var. austromontanum.
