HabitatOn a fairly open rocky summit with an overstory of Pinus contorta ssp. murrayana and associated with Chrysothamnus nauseosus, Tetradymia canescens, Eriogonum wrightii var. subscaposum, Monardella linoides, Symphoricarpos rotundifolius, Erigeron aphanactis var. congestus, Arabis parishii, Castilleja cinerea, Eriogonum kennedyi var. alpigenum, and Eriogonum kennedyi var. austromontanum.
