HabitatA shady canyon and meadow like habitat with an overstory of Juniperus occidentalis ssp. australis, Pinus ponderosa, and Salix sp., and also associated with Rosa californica, Achillea millefolium, Castilleja applegatii, Carex sp., Juncus sp., Gayophytum diffusum ssp. parviflorum, Potentilla glandulosa, Mimulus floribundus, Mimulus guttatus, Mimulus moschatus, Hypericum formosum, Lupinus lepidus, Montia chamasoii, Tragopogon dubius, Taraxacum officinale, Lactuca serriola, and Sidalcea malvaeflora ssp. dolosa.
