HabitatA steep north facing slope of carbonate soils at an old mining claim. With Juniperus occidentalis ssp. australis, Pinus monophylla, Pinus flexilis, Pinus contorta ssp. murrayana, Abies concolor, Cercocarpus ledifolius, Linanthus pungens, Achnatherum hymenoides, Erigeron aphanactis var. congestus, Draba corrugata, Galium parishii, Euphorbia palmerii, Erysimum capitatum, Arabis holboelii, Senecio ionophyllus, Astragalus lentiginosus var. sierrae, and Eriogonum microthecum var. corymbosoides.
