HabitatIn an open sunny alkali gravely/sandy meadow surrounded by Pinus jeffreyi, Juniperus occidentalis ssp. australis, Cercocarpus ledifolius, and Artemisia tridentata. The meadow boarders and meadow having Horkelia rydbergii, Eriogonum wrightii var. subscaposum, Linanthus breviculus, Erigeron brewerii, Astragalus leucolobus, Eriogonum parishii, Eriogonum baileyi, Eleocharis macrostachya, Carex douglasii, Mimulus pilosus, and Trichostema micranthum.
