Locality SBNF: Upper Santa Ana River Watershed. S-facing slopes just above Sugarloaf Meadow. Along S base of Sugarloaf Mountain.

HabitatSteep 28 degree S-facing slope of mixed metamorphic rocky cobbles. Vegetation dominated by Artemisia tridentata, Chrysothamnus nauseosus, Ceanothus. Scattered yellow pines and oaks, with Pinus coulteri, Eriodictyon, Castilleja, Eriophyllum, Eriogonum, Leptodactylon, Galium, Antirrhinum, Stipa. Area historically grazed & burnt.
