Habitat8-degree S-facing decomposed granite slope in open mixed conifer woodland, with dense hard chaparral upslope. Disturbed sandy/gravelly openings and roadsides supporting herbaceous vegetation dominated by Bromus tectorum, with Cordylanthus rigidus, Monardella lanceolata, Artemisia drancunculus, Lotus argophyllus, Eriogonum spp., and other common forbs.
