Locality Bitter Creek National wildlife Refuge, far west end of the San Emigdio Mountains. Northwest end of the refuge in Unit # 9., East of Highway 166, south of Cerro Noroeste Road. Started near 34.94653N 119.43548W traveled west northwest to small hill near 34.95036N 119.44620W, then southeast parallel with highway 166 until exit at the road near 34.94724N 119.45539W.

Notes<coords cont.: ,15southern half of 16, SW 1/4 of 15>; From an old corral area, started following a dry creek bed with steep eroding cliff sides. Surrounding low grassy hills and flats above were one time open to grazing, with some old cattle trails still visible coming down into creek bed. Creek bottom had plenty of Distichlis spicata and few areas with Juncus balticus. Growing on hills.;
