HabitatShrubby, open grassy area in dark, sandy loam (Cabrillo-Heeser complex, 0 to 5 percent slopes; fine-loamy, mixed, active, isomesic Ultic Haplustalfs to coarse-loamy, mixed, superactive, isomesic Humic Dystrustepts). With Abies grandis, Antennaria sp., Baccharis pilularis, Briza maxima, Cotoneaster lacteus, Cytisus scoparius, Daucus carota, Myrica californica, Pinus contorta, P. muricata, Polystichum munitum, Rubus discolor, R. urisnus.
