HabitatStabilized dune aprons around coarse dark volcanic hills. Areas of deep windblown sand supporting thin Larrea - Ambrosia scrub with rich psamophyllic flora including Hesperocallis undulata, Oenothera deltoides, Gilia latiflora, Androstephium breviflorum, Pleuraphis rigida, and many common desert annuals.
