HabitatOpen flat outwash plain with areas of compacted cracked mud overlain by shallow blown sand. Occasional thin layers of curious white volcanic tuffaceous stuff. Sparse Larrea - Ambrosia scrub, with occasional common annuals like Loeseliastrum matthewsii, Nama demissum, Camissonia claviformis, Eremalche exilis, Astragalus spp., Gilia spp.
