HabitatOpen desert scrubland on gravelly and sandy decomposed granite alluvium. Shrubland dominated by Ephedra nevadensis, Eriogonum fasciculatum var. polifolium, Tetradymia axillaris, Coleogyne ramocissima, Menodora spinescens, Achnatherum speciosum, Hymenoclea salsola, Chrysothamnus spp. Rich annual flora dominated by Nama, Layia, Mentzelia, Camissonia.
