HabitatBig granitic boulders near seeping springs and stream. Very moist area. Associated species on desert slopes: Ericameria linearifolia, Eriogonum fasciculatum var. polifolium, Cryptantha sp., Artemisia tridentata, Gutierrezia microcephala, Salazaria mexicana, Eriogonum nudum var. polifolium, Artemisia ludoviciana, and Ericameria cooperi.
