Locality The Badlands: canyon above Eden Hot Springs.
Elevation 549m
HabitatCanyon in steep hills of poorly consolidated siltly sediments; (burned ca. 1999) chaparral with coastal sage patches. Yucca schidigera and Opuntia locally common. Salix and Baccharis dominated riparian patches on canyon bottom. Very dry year (+/- driest since 1882) and few annuals present, except a thin cover of mostly failing weedy grasses, shrubs mostly stressed.
