Locality Crestridge Ecological Reserve (Ca. Dept. of Fish and Game): northwest of La Cresta between Alpine and El Cajon; northeast of Rios Canyon; north-central part of reserve.

HabitatVegetation: Chaparral with Adenostoma fasciculata, Ceanothus crassifolius, C. tomentosus, Malosma laurina, Artemisia palmeri, and Cercocarpus minutiflorus. Note: most of the area burned in the Cedar Fire of October 2003, but this small patch of chaparral survived. Geology: mostly granite soils.
