Locality Ford Spring: S-facing slopes appx. 1/4 mi. SE of end of road, overlooking N end of Long Valley.
Elevation 2591m
HabitatSteep S-facing slopes leading down to Long Valley. Soft pumice soil with basaltic outcrops and occasional granitic outcrops. Burnt and grazed areas infested with Bromus tectorum, with recovering Artemisia tridentata / Purshia tridentata scrub. With Symphoricarpos rotundifolius, Ribes cereum, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Leymus cinereus, Eriogonum umbellatum, Hesperostipa comata, Ceanothus velutinus, and common annuals including Mentzelia congesta, Phacelia bicolor, Layia glandulosa.
