HabitatWindswept open flats of granitic cobbles with fine soil in between. Dominated by cushion plants including Eriogonum caespitosum, Stenotus acaulis, Arenaria kingii, Astragalus purshii, and Artemisia arbuscula. Surrounded by scrub of Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Symphoricarpos rotundifolius, Eriogonum umbellatum, Cercocarpus ledifolius, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus.
