Locality Glass Mountain Region: N edge of Long Valley; steep slopes leading up to Sentinel Meadow RNA.

Habitat20 degree to 30 degree S-facing sandy and rocky granitic slopes. Burning and grazing widespread, with occasional Pinus monophylla woodlands remaining. Bromus tectorum abundant on disturbed open areas. Open sandy areas with Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Elymus elymoides, Achnatherum hymenoides, Hesperostipa comata, Erysimum capitatum, Phacelia bicolor, Mentzelia congesta, Plagiobothrys kingii, Tiquilia nuttallii. Rocky outcrops with Ericameria cuneatus, Scrophularia, Cercocarpus.
