Locality N edge of Long Valley; Pinyon woodland slopes appx. 200ft. above valley floor.
Elevation 2317m
Habitat35 deg S-facing slopes of loose granitic sand and talus. Pinus monophylla woodland, apparently unburnt, adjacent to burnt slopes densely infested with Bromus tectorum. Very dry this year, with Purshia tridentata, Artemisia tridentata, Mentzelia congesta, Melica stricta, Layia glandulosa.
