Locality Sentinel Meadow Reasearch Natural Area; Pumice bowl at head of main drainage running N from center of pumice plateau.
Elevation 3079m
HabitatBroad pumice flat surrounded by Pinus contorta forest. Soft deep pumice soil devoid of shrubs, supporting low dwarfed perennials. Dominated by Lupinus breweri, with Calyptridium umbellatum, Raillardella argentea, Eriophyllum lanatum, Chaenactis douglasii.
