HabitatHeavily grazed flat saltgrass meadow along ancient lake margin. Soft silty alkali soil of pumice origin, dissected by gentle dry drainages. Meadow with Distichlis spicata, Lupinus lepidus, Carex. Uplands of Artemisia tridentata scrub.
