Associated with Acer macrophyllum, Bromus diandrus, Delphinium cardinale, Eriophyllum confertiflorum, Eucrypta chrysanthemifolia, Gnaphalium bicolor, G. californicum, Keckiella cordifolia, Malacothrix saxatilis, Marah macrocarpus, Melica imperfecta, Phacelia cicutaria hispida, Polypodium californicum, Quercus chrysolepis, Q. durata gabrielensis x Q. engelmannii, Ribes californicum hesperium, Sambucus mexicana, and Toxicodendron diversilobum.
