NotesAssoc. Pinus ponderosa, Pinus sabiniana, Quercus kelloggii, Photinia, Rhamnus californica, Arctostaphylos, Adenostoma, Ceanothus, Quercus dumosa. Sierra stony loam?. Plants low, somewhat prostrate, 1-3 ft high, spreading in largest to 6 ft. Sepals commonly burnt-orange to occasionally red orange, flowers 3-5 cm broad (lobe apex to lobe apex), not commonly and very localized.;
