HabitatE-facing slope, open soil. Associated with Adenostoma fasciculatum, Artemisia californica, Avena barbata, Brassica nigra, Bromus hordeaceus, B. rubens, Dichelostemma capitatum capitatum, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Erodium cicutarium, Hemizonia cf. fasciculata, and Selaginella cf. bigelovii.
