|Locality||Big Tujunga Wash/ Verdugo Mountains region: East of Hansen Dam, entered at Orcas Ave. parked at Orcas Park, hiked east of this park along river (just north of Wentworth Street), but not as far as the Tujunga ponds.|
|Habitat||Large sandy wash, perennial river, with alot of Salix spp. both tree and shrub forms Associated with: Salix gooddingii, S. exigua, S. lasiolepis, S. lucida ssp. lasiandra, Populus fremontii, Platanus racemosa (not many trees, but some seedlings along river), Alnus rhombifolia, Cyperus involucratus, Juncus rugulosus, Eleocharis parishii, Baccharis salicifolia, Bidens laevis, Polygonum hydropiperoides, Rumex sp. Veronica anagallis-aquatica, Melilotus alba, Typha sp. Agrostis viridis, Mimulus cardinalis, M. guttatus, Xanthium strumarium, Ageratina adenophora, Piptatherum miliaceum, Arundo donax, and Polypogon monspeliensis.|
