Locality NW Palomar Mountains, Agua Tibia Mountains: Cleveland National Forest, east of the Agua Tibia Wilderness Area. Eastern Cutca Valley, along the area were the Cutca Trail and Cutca Road meet and crosses the upper drainages of Long Canyon.

HabitatOak woodland with Quercus agrifolia, Platanus racemosa, Rhamnus ilicifolia, Ceanothus leucodermis, Elymus glauca, Tauschia arguta, etc. surrounded by areas of burned chaparral consisting of Arctostaphylos glauca, A. glandulosa, Adenostoma sparsifolium, Ceanothus greggii var. perplexans, Rhus ovata, Keckiella antirrhinoides, etc. Alluvial substrate with a deep, humus rich soil along the drainage with a sandy loam/clay soil in the surrounding areas; aspect -; slope 0-10 percent.
