Locality NW Palomar Mountains, Agua Tibia Mountains: Cleveland National Forest, along the Cutca Road, at the north end of Cutca Valley., Approximately 0.6 miles east the Wilderness boundary, north of the junction of where Cutca Road crosses the drainages from the eastern face of Eagle Crag. Volcanic hills located at the northern end of section 7, southeast of Crosley Homestead.

HabitatChaparral composed of Adenostoma fasciculatum, Keckiella antirrhinoides, Salvia sonomensis, Eriodictyon crassifolium etc. on xeric south facing slopes and Quercus wislizeni var. frutescens, Salix exigua, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Rhus ovata, etc. on more mesic localities. Volcanic substrate with a sandy loam soil; aspect S and E; slope 30-100 percent.
