Locality NW Palomar Mountains, Agua Tibia Mountains: Agua Tibia Wilderness Area. South of Dorland Mountain, just east of the Wilderness Area boundry with the Pechanga Indian Reservation, along a tributary of the north fork of Pechanga Creek.

HabitatChaparral composed of Adenostoma fasciculatum, Salvia mellifera, Keckiella antirrhinoides, Rhus ovata, Solanum parishii, etc. with scattered areas of native grassland composed of Stipa lepida, S. cernua, Poa secunda, Bromus hordeaceus, Delphinium parryi, Chorizanthe procumbens, Harpagonella palmeri, etc. Gabbroic substrate with a cobbley clay soil; W aspect; 0-60 percent slope.
