Locality NW Palomar Mountains, Agua Tibia Mountains: Pechanga Indian Reservation. The headwaters of Pala Creek at the southern extremity of the Reservation, north the Riverside / San Diego County line border;, west of the intersection of Magee Truck Trail and Moreno Road including a large area of vernally wet grassland at the extreme southwestern corner of the Reservation.

HabitatScattered areas of oak woodland composed of Quercus agrifolia, Q. engelmannii, Heteromeles arbutifolia, Sanicula crassicaulis, Rhus trilobata and Solanum parishii, within areas of Stipa grasslands and mesic chaparral of Ceanothus tomentosus, Adenostoma fasciculatum, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Artemisia californica, Salvia apiana. Gabbroic substrates w/ a cobbley clay soil; S aspect; 0-30 percent slope.
