HabitatGently sloping alluvial plain with silty - gravelly soils, grading abruptly into steep, barren hills of highly eroded yellowish lacustrine deposits; Very sparse vegetation on the alluvial fans of Atriplex hymenelytra, Tidestroemia oblongifolia, Gerrea canescens, Chaenactis sp., Chorizanthe rigida, and Camissonia claviformis.
