|Habitat||Broad, gently sloping valley floor of deep alluvium, mostly of decomposed granite, steep slopes to east and west of old ranch compound mostly reddish metamorphics. Extensive wetland in valley bottom with soils of saturated loam to sandy loam, water running on the surface in many areas.|

|Notes||<coords cont.: E1/2 SW1/4>; Slopes characterized by dense chaparral of Adenostoma fasciculatum, Cercocarpus betuloides, Quercus wislizenii, Quercus berberidifolia, and Rhamnus ilicifolia on shallower soils of rocky slopes, more xeric exposures with open stands of Eriogonum fasciculatum, Salvia apiana, and Eriophyllum confertiflorum deep alluvial soils of fan with mosaic of dense low scrub of Eriogonum fasciculatum, Eriodictyon crassifolium var. nigrescens, and Chrysothamnus nauseosus; spring areas with overstory of Baccharis salicifolia, Salix lasiolepis, S. laevigata, S. exigua, understory of dense stands of Carex, Anemopsis californica, Juncus mexicana. Perennial herb, local in understory of Salix, seepages within wetland area.;|
