Locality Liebre Mountains region: Southeastern flank of Liebre Mountain, along ridge dividing Fish Canyon and Bear Canyon drainages, northeast of Atmore meadows, along rough dirt track following old fuelbreak.

HabitatArea of extensive outcrops of rounded granitic boulders weathering to coarse decomposed granite soil. Vegetation a mosaic of dense chaparral of Quercus wislizeni, Quercus chrysolepis, Ceanothus leucodermis, Adenostoma fasciculatum, and Arctostaphylos glandulosa, with more open areas of low scrub of Eriogonum fasciculatum, Eriastrum densifolium, Poa secunda, and Eriophyllum confertiflorum.
