Locality Liebre Mountains region, extreme NW corner of the range in Peace Valley, small side canyon just east of Interstate 5 off Copco Road.

HabitatRelatively broad-bottomed side canyon with steep surrounding slopes of sedimentary substrate; Valley floor with dense stand of Yucca brevifolia herbertii, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Artemisia tridentata, Eriodictyon crassifolium nigrescens, Chrysothamnus nauseosus, and Poa secunda. Mesic slopes with scrub of Quercus john-tuckeri, Pinus monophylla, Artemisia tridentata, Salvia dorrii, Cercocarpus betuloides, Rhamnus ilicifolia, and Juniperus californica.
