HabitatSteep-sided drainage with relatively barren alkaline clay substrate dominating cliffs at canyon headwall. Associated with xeric scrub vegetation of Adenostoma fasciculatum, Iva axillaris, Ceanothus cuneatus, Arctostaphylos glauca, Atriplex canescens, Yucca whipplei, Eriogonum ordii, Melica imperfecta, Eriogonum fasciculatum, etc.
