HabitatAlkali playa developed on silty clay soil in area seasonally inundated, often for extended period. Adjacent areas disturbed by conversion to permanently-flooded duck ponds. Associated with Lasthenia glabrata ssp. coulteri, Plagiobothrys leptocladus, Rumex, Spergularia, Sisymbrium irio, etc.

Notes<coords cont.: N1/2 SW1/4 SE1/4>; Annual, scarce and local on dry, cracked mud of former pool. Fruit erect ascending. This is an unusual habitat for this taxon compared with other populations observed in western Riverside County. Most populations occur on heavy adobe soil which may be seasonally saturated, but not flooded.;
