Populus fremontii subsp. fremontii, Orlando Mistretta 2006-03
Notes<coords cont.: E1/2 NE1/4 SE1/4>; riparian area dominated by Salix laevigata, Platanus racemosa, Alnus rhombifolia, etc. with irregular openings along margina few anomalous trees occurring locally on W side of stream; leaves essentially glabrous, green (when fresh) and slightly bicolored (not yellow-green and concolorous as in P. fremontii). Pure Populus fremontii occurring lower down in the canyon; P. trichocarpa occurring farther up the canyon (as at Icy Springs). Stem excrescences probably due to a gall-forming parasitic insect.;
