|Notes||Herb. In shade of Scirpus californicus, Sparganium eurycarpum and Potentilla egedii. Mixed with Lemna minuscula, L. gibba, Wolffia columbiana and Azolla filiculoides.At least some of the Lemna in this collection appear to be L. valdiviana:1. Oval-oblong fronds adhering in colonies of 2-6.2. Fronds very thin and transparent.3. Single prominent nerve extending at least 3/4 of distance from node to apex.4. Apices of fronds turned slightly upward in water.5. Fronds compare favorably with Landolt s clone #ZT 7546 sent to me from Zurich.Fronds not or only slightly asymmetrical at base.;|
