NotesHerb. With Azolla filiculoides, Wolffiella lingulata, W. oblonga, Hydrocotyle ranunculoides, and Nuphar polysepalum.Note: Most of the specimens in this collection appear to be Lemna minuscula. They are generally at the maximum size range for L. minuscula (3-4 mm) and generally adhere in groups of 4 rather than the usual 2-- but nonetheless I still believe they are L. minuscula and not L. valdiviana. When grown in buckets at my home in San Diego Co. they tend to assume the more typical size and doublet growth form of L. minuscula.E. Landolt (Geobotanical Institute, Zurich) has reported L. valdiviana from Oso Flaco Lake-- in addition to L. minuscula and L. turionifera.Photo shows several fronds of Lemna minuscula with small fronds of Wolffia columbiana.;
