Notes | ? Hybrid, P. fremontii x P. trichocarpa. Vigorous, mature tree, ca. 50 feet high, spreading to 40 feet; bark gray, deeply furrowed, +/- shredding. NOTE: What appears to be typical P. fremontii was observed along Mill Creek above Baughman Spring, 4-5 miles upstream; +/- typical P. trichocarpa appears to be present at Singing Springs & Hidden Springs; the ?hybrid P. fremontii x trichocarpa population appears along Mill Creek, between Singing Springs and Hidden Springs, and into Big Tujunga Canyon, perhaps further. Natural population associated with inhabited area.; |
