HabitatImmediate base of slope down from Hwy 1, rich sandy moist humus; Coastal salt marsh: Heliotripium curassavicum growing directly underneath: Frankenia grandifolia, Salicornia surrounding. 10m away was an extensive area of Distichlis and Salicornia surrounding the open water of the marsh

Notes2m tall in a great radiation clump, a part of a line of clumps 50m in length. Flowers were not yet fully expanded and their stemls were not yet as long as the dead flowering stems of another season. A 1/2 m deep tangle of dead and growing plants around the base;
