HabitatWhite Fir- Jeffrey Pine forest lower steep slope; Red Fir forest starts below break in slope at 8500; its upper edge mainly Pinus monticola, P. albicaulis highest ridge crests; above 9500' carpet of Lupinus brewerii, Eriogonum marifolium, etc. or rocky with Holodiscus and Haplopappus.

NotesPenstemon occas. on gentle NE slope of rock rimmed amphitheater (Salix mead at bottom) at 9700' under Pinus murrayana. Didn't notice any elsewhere on trip.;
