Locality immed. E of depressed lake (SW quarter Mt. Abbot Quad.) lake in 200' depression without surface outlet. Creek cascades steeply down broken rock slope toward lake from foot of mile long snow banked approach to 12146' peak SE.

HabitatSeepage areas and dryish sandy areas E. of lake on E. side of its moraine against cascade slope and drained by ravine around moraine and lake to N. Krumholtz on W. facing 11300' slope above and NE. of lake. Otherwise area strictly alpine.
