|Locality||Large pond at W end of an elongated mead, behind a 10-15 ft moraine at ca 9550 at crest of steep 1400 S wall of Bear Creek Canyon, ca 0.5 m W of Cirque Creek. Slope up steep S very gentle for 2/5 m - ultimately to 11000 within a mile.|
|Habitat||Lodgepoles around lake and meadow; Subalpine Forest at this level in places and above. Upper end of meadow fairly dry; creek enters midway E side and meanders to pond which outlets over edge into canyon.|
