Habitat | Lodgepole Forest Piute Canyon up to 10400-10600'. Subalpine forest to 10800' (even 11200' on few favored rocky slopes). Occasional Pinus albicaulis is krumholtz to 11200', rare specimens to 11600'. Basin mostly above 11000' and alpine with extensive areas herbaceous alpine cover. |
